Edge Re-milling
Some of the most common problems are with the desks, a protruding front edge that was chewed away by an ill fitting task chair, used as a bottle opener or maybe you have a tight floor plan and luggage is drug across it constantly. These type problems can really chew up the furniture but are usually the easiest and least expensive to repair. What we do in this case is router that chewed edge down to a new smooth more rounded edge, re-stain it to match and seal it with several coast very durable protective finish to provide a much stronger, more durable edge.

Re-Laminating top surfaces
Other common problems is where the manufacturer installed a finished wood veneer top instead of the industry standard high pressure laminate, The wood top looks great when new but they just do not wear well and without annually refinishing your tops, they will become dull, scratched and stain very easily. maybe for your home but not in a hotel room. What we do here is overlay the top surfaces with a matching high quality factory adhesive backed high pressure laminate and overlay and router the edges smooth. It looks better and easier to maintain. Also, the better laminates like Wilsonart with not show fingerprints or smudges, so your housekeeper with thank you and allow them to be more efficent with their time.

Maybe the worst desk problem there is… water damage, liquids seeping in between where wood edge joins that top laminate causing the top to swell and ripple.
